Are you looking for a knitted sweatshirt?

You've found, or even made, an exquisite sweater. It appears to be made specifically for you and is perfectly fitted. It is perfect in color that reveals your blush each time you wear it. It's proudly worn by you, regularly. But you're afraid of putting it in the washing machine that you've been hand-washing it for months. It should be better however, is it?
The sweater may have to be washed regularly if the owner is very busy. Playing with kids and pets can make clothes dirtier quickly. The clothes could end up in the laundry pile in the event that you don't have time or energy to wash your clothes by hand. It might get damaged if your husband or another responsible person toss it into the washing machine. This isn't the ideal method of caring for a hand-knit sweater.

There are more than just husbands and do-gooders who can cause damage to your clothing. If you have a cat that is a regular visitor to the laundry and claws are aplenty, they could get caught on your sweater. They could pull your sweater apart and tear it up when they aren't able to get it away.
There's no need to fret about some sweaters. They can be safely put in the washing machine without any need for hand washing. Acrylic sweaters can be washed and dry. It is however recommended to remove the sweater for a couple of minutes prior to drying and dry it on the line. Superwash wool is suitable for both the washer and dryer. It is susceptible to damage when left to dry too long. So, make sure you take it out when it becomes damp. After that, line dry it. Also, be aware that colors may bleed off cotton.

Certain sweaters shouldn't be thrown into the washer. Wool will welt, and it will shrink. Mohair sweaters, while safer than wool, must be cleaned by hand. Bamboo expands when wet, and it will never remain the identical.
If you need to hang your clothing in the closet, never use hangers made of metal. The long wooden hangers will not leave marks on your garment. They will take up more space than the closet itself, so it is better to store the sweaters in your drawer after having been cleaned.
